Free Women’s Literacy Classes at the Rajapur Community Building – 31st December 2017
Day 2: 31st December 2017
The 2nd day at the Rajapur Women's Literacy + Healthcare Centre. These Women's Literacy and Healthcare classes were conducted by Mannan Foundation's Head Trustee Mrs. Razia Begum Mannan and our Trustee Tumpa Husna Yasmin Fellows.
These classes taught subjects of health and hygiene and income generating skills to the women of Rajapur community.
The classes were even more popular than the previous classes and we have had 40 women attend the classes. We are extremely happy to announce that the classes are now being held and led by Mrs. Hawaa Begum who is a trained teacher and practitioner for Public Health and has many years of experience in dealing with community work through her dedicated work for the local NGO, charity called BRAC. She is a member of the Rajapur village community therefore we have been able to fulfill our goal of giving the ownership of running this project to the community members of Rajapur. #community_ownership #erasing_inequality #tackling_social_issues
